Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar found dead in Delhi.
On 17 January 2014, a day after the Twitter controversy, Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in room number 345 of The Leela Palace Hotel in the Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi. After coming back to the hotel room, an attendant told Shashi Tharoor that she had been sleeping for a long time. He then inspected Sunanda and realized that she was dead. He called his personal assisstant who in turn immediately called the local police. Delhi Police recovered Pushkar's body from the hotel and sent it for postmortem. According to initial reports, police said the cause of Sunanda's death seemed to be suicide. Police sources said to media that there were no visible marks of injury on her body. Sources have ruled out any foul play in the cause of her Death. Sunanda had hinted about her death, hours before her body was found.
